Since its establishment in 1983, Longkou City Chemical Plant has undergone years of steady development and successfully transformed from a town-owned collective enterprise into a more market-competitive private enterprise in 1998. Our company specializes in the research, development, production, sales, and technical services of pest control fumigants, adhering to the core philosophy of green, low-carbon, andenvironmental protection, we have played a significant role in promoting the sustainable development of the industry.
Our company has successfully developed two major series of pest control fumigants, sulfuryl fluoride and aluminum phosphide. These products not only meet the high standard demand of port shipping, quarantine, grain storage and tobacco warehousing, soil remediation, and cultural relic preservation, but have also achieved remarkable results in ensuring food security and promoting grain conservation as well as earning widespread social recognition.
Our company has established close cooperative relationships with leading enterprises in the storage and warehousing industry, such as Customs & Quarantine Authority, Sinograin, China Tobacco, and Port & Shipping Group, jointly advancing the development of the industry. Among these, our company has undertaken the national agricultural methyl bromide phase-out project. The successful implementation of this project not only earned the company an honorary certificate for its outstanding contributions to the phase-out of methyl bromide in China's agricultural sector, but also filled a global gap in this field, showcasing the company's leading position and far-reaching influence in green chemistry.
With our excellent product quality and outstanding service, our company has gained widespread popularity and trust among domestic and international customers. Through self-operated exports, our products have been successfully sold to Southeast Asia, North and South America, and other regions, establishing stable trade relations with over 30 countries worldwide. The company ranks at the forefront internationally in its industry, possessing authority and influence.
Eighty percent of our aluminum phosphide products are exported to countries such as Germany, Brazil, and Spain. Over the past nearly thirty years, our export volume has consistently ranked first in the domestic industry. With consistent product quality control and excellent customer service, we have earned widespread praise and high trust from international clients.
On December 29, 2024, the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture issued Document No. 868, deciding to adjust the registration system for aluminum phosphide-related products effective March 1, 2025. The policy clearly states that only enterprises with a production license for aluminum phosphide technical can retain their pesticide registration certificates for formulated products, and the product use is limited to the pest control of stored grain. Our company is one of the few enterprises with a technical production license, and this policy change undoubtedly brings new development opportunities for us in the market competition.
At the same time, we are closely monitoring the market changes brought about by the policy restrictions on the use of aluminum phosphide. As a countermeasure, one of our primary products, sulfuryl fluoride, is gradually gaining widespread market attention due to its ability to substitute aluminum phosphide in certain fields. As a versatile pest control fumigant, sulfuryl fluoride is widely used not only in traditional fumigation areas such as quarantine, grain storage, ship holds, ship containers, tobacco warehousing, soil fumigation, and cultural relics preservation, but also in the industrial manufacturing of new materials, showing great market potential in fields such as new energy lithium battery electrolytes, aerospace new materials, and water treatment membrane materials.
Notably, our company is one of only three licensed producers of sulfuryl fluoride globally, one of two producers in China, the only enterprise in China with a sulfuryl fluoride tobacco fumigation license, and the only specialized sulfuryl fluoride manufacturer in Shandong Province. This product not only aligns closely with current policy directions but also further consolidates and enhances our competitiveness in the market.
Our company's technical research and development center is equipped with a strong team, with a couple of specialists and professors invited as technical consultants, providing robust support for our company's technological development. Our company has been honored with the titles of "Yantai City Single-Enterprise Technology R&D Center and Enterprise Technology Center" and has established long-term stable cooperative relationships with Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology, jointly building demonstration bases for industry-academia-research collaboration and off-campus training bases, actively promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
Our company has presided over the drafting of three national standards, "Sulfuryl Fluoride," "Aluminum Flask for Packaging Chemical Products," and "56% Aluminum Phosphide Tablets," further solidifying our leading position in the industry.
In terms of safety production and standardized management, our company has obtained the "Secondary Standardization Certificate" issued by the Shandong Provincial Emergency Department, demonstrating our outstanding performance in safety production and standardized management. Additionally, our company has established a comprehensive intellectual property management system, strictly adhering to the current "Enterprise Intellectual Property Management Standards," and has received 11 invention patents and 8 utility model patents. This has enhanced the company's technical strength and provided strong legal protection for our development.
Our company is an key member of the China Agricultural Ecological Environment Protection Association under the Ministry of Agriculture, serving as the vice president unit of the first council of the Soil Disinfection Branch, and is also a council member of the China Agricultural Ecological Environment Protection Association. These honors and roles highlight our company's significant position and influence in the field of agricultural ecological environment protection.
Our company have been quality, environmental, and occupational health system certified, marking that our management capability and comprehensive strength have reached domestic leading levels. Additionally, our company has been awarded a couple of more honors, including "Shandong Province Specialized and Innovative SMEs," "Advanced Enterprise in Export Earnings," "Shandong Province Hidden Champion SMEs," "Yantai City Green Factory," and "Yantai City Gazelle Enterprise." 1983
Formerly known as Huangxian Chemical Factory, it was a small town-run factory with only 5 people. The founder, Mr Shan Guangli, led the hard work to develop the market.

1986
The first batch of products entered the international market and won the first opportunity for development.

1998
The factory was transformed into a private sole proprietorship enterprise, passed the ISO9001 quality system authentication, obtained the ‘self-management import and export right’, and changed from foreign trade agent export to self-management export, and the number of co-operating countries has increased to twenty-two.

2001
The plant carried out large-scale equipment upgrading and technological renovation, and the newly introduced sulphuryl fluoride project entered the trial stage.

2002
The introduced sulphuryl fluoride project was formally put into production, and the products have been sold to various inspection and quarantine systems in the country.

2007
Sulfuryl fluoride products were exported to the United States for the first time. In the same year, it was exported to Indonesia, Japan and other countries.

2008
The first one in China applied for and obtained the registration certificate issued by the Pesticide Identification Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture for the use of sulphuryl fluoride for fumigation in the field of raw grain.

2014
Became the first enterprise in China to obtain the registration certificate of sulphuryl fluoride for fumigation in soil field.

2016
Under the advocacy of international environmental protection organisations, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China took the lead and the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China cooperated with the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China to seek for alternative products of methyl bromide for soil disinfection in China, and Sulfuryl Fluoride was included in the project through the evaluation of the domestic experts and was finally approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China with the issuance of the certificate of honour after three years' active trial by the enterprise.

As one of the two domestic manufacturers of sulfuryl fluoride, the enterprise participated in drafting the National Standard of Sulfuryl Fluoride.

The enterprise actively develops the application expansion of sulfuryl fluoride products, and cooperates with new energy enterprises for the first time, applying sulfuryl fluoride to the raw material production application of lithium battery electrolyte.

Phosphate aluminium workshop equipment upgrading: smoke treatment process to increase the electromagnetic de-whitening equipment, effectively improve the ability to deal with smoke and dust, to achieve smoke-free emissions.

In response to the national policy of ‘mechanisation for manpower, automation for manpower’, we have upgraded the equipment of Sulfuryl fluoride workshop, improved the product yield, and the annual output of Sulfuryl fluoride can reach 3,000 tonnes.
