Sulfuryl fluoride for soil fumigation applications
In 2011, the enterprise obtained the first pesticide registration permit issued by the Ministry of Agriculture for ‘Sulfuryl fluoride for ginger soil control of root-knot pests’ (Registration Certificate No. PD20110859), and carried out soil fumigation tests of sulfuryl fluoride jointly with many agricultural colleges and universities, and carried out soil fumigation experiments in strawberry, garlic, cucumber, ginger, leek, We have also carried out soil fumigation tests of sulphuryl fluoride in strawberry, garlic, cucumber, ginger, leek, tobacco and other crops in collaboration with many agricultural academies. At present, nearly 10,000 mu have been fumigated in Shandong, Hebei, Henan and other provinces, and good insecticidal and economic effects have been achieved.
Sulfuryl fluoride is used for soil fumigation of cucumber in greenhouse: the dosage is 50g/m², the plant height reaches 111.8cm after fumigation, and before fumigation, it is 61.8cm, the effect of wilt prevention and control is 94.6%, and the number of root-knot nematode populations in the root-enclosed soil and the reduction of fumigation treatment reduces 91.5%, and the reduction of cucumber harvest is 92.9%, and the yield increases by 30%.
Sulfuryl fluoride was used in ginger soil fumigation: the dosage was 50g/m², the preventive effect against ginger nematode reached 98% after fumigation, and the yield could be increased by 50% after fumigation.
Sulfuryl fluoride is used in strawberry soil fumigation: the dosage is 50g/m², the dosage of chemical fertiliser can be reduced by 50%, the height of plant can be increased by 60%, the output can be increased by 40%, and the quality of excellent fruits can be increased by 80%, especially at the late stage of growth, the quality of fruits is still not declined, this is the main reason for the increase of yield. The effect on strawberry root rot is remarkable, after fumigation of the whole growing period did not see the occurrence of root rot, while the control of the economic income before the fumigation can be increased by more than 50%, the control of strawberry nematodes in three months also reached more than 90%.
Sulfuryl fluoride was used for tomato soil fumigation: the dosage was 50g/m², the increase in plant height after fumigation was not obvious, but the control effect on tomato blight could reach 70.2%, while methyl bromide was only 57.9%, and no root nodules were found in the roots of tomato plants after harvesting, and the yield of tomato could reach 63,910kg/hm² after fumigation, while it was generally 42,750kg/hm² before fumigation.
